What are the Seven Sacraments of the Catholic Church?  Click here to find out!

Sacrament of Baptism - Baptism seminars are required for first time parents and are held on the first Tuesday of every month. You must contact the Director of Religious Education to reserve a place. You may download and fill out a baptism information form from the right side of this page and bring it to the seminar with you.

Baptisms take place during Sunday Mass (excluding the seasons of Advent and Lent) or immediately following a Sunday Mass. Call the parish office to sign up for a baptism seminar or schedule your child's baptism.

Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) - Saturday at 4:00 PM in the chapel or by appointment.  During Lent, Reconciliation will be available on Saturdays at 3:00pm.  On the Saturday of Easter weekend, Reconciliation will not be available.

Children in 2nd grade will receive their First Penance during their preparations for First Communion.

The Holy Eucharist - Children in 2nd grade prepare to receive their First Communion in the spring by attending our Religious Education program on Sunday mornings or as students at a Catholic school.

Sacrament of Confirmation - Confirmation Preparation is a two-year program that begins when a student enters the 9th grade. Contact the Youth Coordinator for more information.

Sacrament of Matrimony - Engaged couples wishing to be married in the Church must contact the pastor to schedule a wedding and begin marriage preparation at least six months before the wedding date.

Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick - Contact the parish office if you are ill or are having surgery and would like to be anointed.

Sacrament of Holy Orders - join us in praying for an increase in vocations.  A tradition here at St. John is to pray for vocations following each Mass. After the closing hymn the congregation is invited to kneel and pray one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be for an increase in religious vocations in the Church.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) - For adults wishing to join the Catholic Church. Meeting Wednesday evenings beginning in August through May.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) - This program is available for children who are not yet baptized but have reached the age of reason (7 years old). Classes meet on Wednesday evenings. The children who have completed the program will receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.

Wedding Anniversary Blessings - Married couples in the parish are invited to receive a blessing on the first Sunday of the month of their wedding anniversary. Anniversary Blessings are provided following the weekend Masses in the daily Mass chapel. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.

Eucharistic Adoration - Adoration is available in the chapel on the first Friday of every month following the morning Mass until 5:00 PM.  Adoration is available every Friday during Lent.
